Smoke Traders is a documentary that follows several Mohawks who work inside the tobacco trade.
Director, Jeff Dorn, has been filming in the Mohawk communities of Akwesasne and Kahnawake for the past three years, achieving unparalleled access to these normally closed societies, which are suspicious of outsiders.
More than cigarettes, blockades and casinos, Smoke Traders give Canadians a chance to see Mohawks and tobacco from their own perspective: the inside out.
